Join us for the second edition of KALYANI, a two-day festival that celebrates the contribution of women to Indian visual and performing arts.

This year, KALYANI goes digital, with an exciting line-up of art workshops and performances themed "Singaar", which connotes romance, beauty, elegance and eroticism, from the mundane to the divine. Artists featured include:

· Juthika Barman – a young folk singer from Assam accompanied by an all-female band that will regale you with songs of the hills of North East India.

· Parvathy Baul – a Baul folk singer from the state of Bengal presenting songs of divine romance and universal love.

· Anwesa Mahanta – an exponent of the Sattriya form of classical dance from the state of Assam, replete with graceful and breathtaking movements telling stories from the Indian epics.

· Roopa Panesar – an accomplished British-born sitar virtuosa who hails from the illustrious musical lineage of the legendary sitarist Ustad Vilayat Khan.

· Saroj Venkat Shyam – an exponent of the Gond style of tribal painting from the state of Madhya Pradesh (central India).

· Kritika Joshi – an exponent of the traditional Phad style of painting from the state of Rajasthan.

KALYANI is jointly presented by In Harmony Arts & Culture, the Consulate General of India and Asia Society Hong Kong Center and curated by MeMeraki and brought to you by the kind sponsorship of Mrs. Purviz R. Shroff and the Late Mr. Rusy Shroff.
