Event Details

Take a guided tour of Asia Society Hong Kong Center (ASHK), the Former Explosives Magazine compound of the Old Victoria Barracks built by the British Army in the mid-19th century. Explore the history of the heritage site, and learn about its transformation by award-winning Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects into a leading arts and cultural institution in Hong Kong. Discover the site's different features, natural and man-made, and measures employed to conserve and preserve the site's historical significance through its distinctive architectural design.


The coming public tour will be held on August 27:

The public tours are free of charge and are led by ASHK volunteers. The maximum capacity of a tour is 14 people. As per the latest government restrictions, group gatherings are limited to four. As such, please remain four in a group during the tour.


For walk-ins, please arrive at the main reception at least 15 minutes before the tour is scheduled to begin. Places are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. ASHK reserves the right to make the final decision without prior notice.
