Pacific Cello Orchestra 2023 features 22 young cellists. These competent cellists will perform the well-loved Peer Gynt Suite No.1 by Grieg; they will collaborate with flautist Olivier Nowak, co-principal flute of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, for Vivald's Flute Concerto "Il cavallo" as well as premiering Austin Yip's "The Five Types of Sunrise I Have Seen in Cha Kwo Ling". Come to enjoy a powerful sound experience created by an all-cello orchestra.

Pacific Cello Orchestra
Established in 2018 by Hong-Kong-based cellists Letty Poon and Juanita Wong, Pacific Cello Orchestra Hong Kong (PCO) is a summer music program for cellists of advanced levels under the age of 18, aiming to share the pure enjoyment of music and to provide them with the rare chance of a professional music-making experience. In the past years, PCO performed at the historical site Tai Kwun, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Asia Society of Hong Kong, as well as Zhong Shan Cultural Centre in Guangdong.
Members of PCO are competent and dedicated musicians, whose performances are no doubt an inspiration. May the power of cello revitalise our tiring souls and the long suppressed spirits!
