Mindfulness with Bhakti Wong

Each month, we gather in mindfulness, to develop and deepen our own well-being practice, so that we can live our lives from a place of equanimity, non-reactivity and calm. The foundation of our practice is based on four core concepts: gentleness, non-violence, compassion and mindfulness. Each session starts with simple clearing, centring and grounding exercises, a moment of inspirational poetry, followed by different artistic or meditation activities that help you to discover, release, or heal and restore. This is an interactive and experiential session where participation and questions are welcomed. Participants often leave with greater clarity and understanding.

Mindfulness for Those who Feel Stuck

We have all had those moments when we feel stuck, in life, in a relationship, in a project, where circumstances, challenges or obstacles trap us. Stuckness is also a wonderful opportunity for learning. When talk has run out of solutions and we notice we keep going in circles, we may be ready for somatic solutions. Inspired by Arawana Hayashi's work in theatre, we explore embodiment exercises that help us see clearer into our situations, and use movement to find the options available.

Come dressed in comfortable clothing that allows for movement. Participants often leave with greater awareness of the present, and a refreshed sense of self.

ABOUT BHAKTI WONG

Bhakti Wong is a somatic therapist, yoga and mindfulness teacher.

In 2002, Bhakti discovered yoga as a way for her to stay fit amidst her frequent-flyer corporate career. Eventually, this was not enough and she began pursuing the study of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation.

Today, Bhakti has worked to educate and empower thousands to find inner alignment, by guiding them through mindfulness exercises that change behaviours, reducing anxiety, confusion and pain.

In her somatic therapy sessions, she unravels the deeply intertwined system of the body, mind and emotions. She focuses on four core concepts: gentleness, non-violence, compassion and mindfulness, which are the foundations of the Hakomi method of somatic psychotherapy.

Bhakti was featured in Prestige July 2022 as one of Hong Kong's top wellness practitioners.
