[Online Event] More than two years into the global pandemic, COVID-19 continues to impact the ways we work, live, and interact, and new variants of the virus continue to emerge. The COVID pandemic has impacted everyone, including families and children globally and in Hong Kong, through school closures, altered social interactions, disruptions to routines and activities, and more. How can parents support their children through anxiety and mental health related issues during these times?

Asia Society Hong Kong Center continues to bring you regular updates on the COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong, and around the world. We are pleased to host public health experts and renowned specialists as they share the latest facts and evidence-based findings on the global pandemic. Over the past two years, this ground breaking series has featured 40 episodes and welcomed more than 250,000 online views.

In this episode, S. Alice Mong, Executive Director of Asia Society Hong Kong Center will host Dr. Melissa Ortega Giglio, Clinical Psychologist and Director of the Central Health Partners Child Development Team in Hong Kong, to discuss how to support our children through anxiety and mental health issues during the Covid pandemic. What should parents look out for as warning signs that children need extra support or care? When Covid related restrictions minimize social interactions and require online school, are there any "best practices" in how to deal with these disruptions to routines? How can children build resilience during this time?
