Event Details

On January 23, 2020, the first case of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) was confirmed in Hong Kong. More than two years have passed as we witness the virus spreading beyond borders and shifting the ways we work, live and interact, while new variants of the pandemic continued to emerge. From alpha to omicron, from quarantine to social distancing, mental health is the cornerstone of individual and societal well-being? How to bounce forward during burnout in the pandemic? How can we build our resilience when support groups are physically far from us? How can we come out of the pandemic together?

The Asia Society Hong Kong Center brings you regular updates on the coronavirus story in Hong Kong that has reverberations elsewhere in the world. We are pleased to present on-the-ground public health experts, mental health professionals and internationally renowned specialists with the latest facts and evidence-based findings regarding this epidemic outbreak. In this past two years, we have featured over 35 episodes and welcomed more than 250,000 online views for this ground breaking series. We deliver the latest Covid-19 updates with Hong Kong and global community by hosting Prof. Catherine Sun, Founding President of the Asian Professional Counselling and Psychology Association (APCPA) & Senior Vice President of Hong Kong Shue Yan University. In this discussion, we will learn about some tips for dealing with stress, trauma and anxiety, as well as staying mentally healthy during isolation. S. Alice Mong, Executive Director of Asia Society Hong Kong Center will moderate the discussion.
